The Parish Feast of St. Francis Xavier’s Cathedral was celebrated on 6th December 2015. It was indeed a blissful day as numerous devotees of St. Francis Xavier had come from all over the diocese to partake in the celebration to implore the blessings from Patron of the Archdiocese. The Festal masses in the morning were as that of Sunday mass. There was a special mass for the Sick at 11:30 a.m.
The Grand Festal Mass in the evening was presided over by the Archbishop of Bangalore, Most Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras in the Church. The Archbishop in his homily invited all the faithful to partake in the mission of Christ by proclaiming the good news not only by words but also by deeds and the very Christian living. At the conclusion of the Mass, the Archbishop was felicitated by the Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Anthony Swamy. The Preachers for the novena were also felicitated by the Archbishop. Later, He also blessed the decorated car of St. Francis Xavier.
A large number of Parishioners and devotees of St. Francis Xavier accompanied in the procession praying the rosary and praising God through hymns. After the completion of the Procession, there was a solemn Eucharistic Blessing followed by a Thanksgiving Mass.
