Eucharistic Adoration & Archdiocesan Priests’ Christmas Gathering
Dec 21: It was a day of great joy as the Archdiocesan Priests had a Eucharistic Adoration in St. Francis Xavier’s Cathedral conducted by the Parish Clergy. The Archbishop and the Priests of the Archdiocese were present. The Syro Malabar Bishop of Mandya, Rt. Rev. Antony Kariyil, was also present. The diocesan Clergy received the sacrament of Reconciliation. Thereafter, the Archbishop delivered a Christmas message to the media and the Priests headed to the Parish Hall for a short Cultural Program.
A Publicity Van portraying an image commemorating the Jubilee year of Mercy was blessed by the Archbishop for the Evangelization purpose initiated by the Archdiocesan Communication Centre. A cultural programme comprised of dances was staged by students of St. Francis Xavier’s Girls School and St. Rock’s Girls School. The Brother’s from Bhakti Bhavan, the Archdiocesan Minor Seminary voiced a melody of Christmas Carols. The Archbishop unveiled and released the CD containing the anthem of Year of Mercy produced by the ACC and the Kannada version of the encyclical Laudato Si translated by the KRCBC. The Archbishop delivered few instructions to the Priests and delivered a short Christmas message followed by a message by the Bishop of Mandya. Thereafter, the Priests savored the Festal Agape.
